The annual Mathoura fishing classic is held at Tarragon Lodge, (Picnic Point) on one of the best stretches of the Murray River. The competition is usually held the first weekend in March and always has fantastic prizes up for grabs. The superb location of this event allows all entrants to camp in close proximity to the main area, providing easy access for meals, fishing results and entertainment.
In excess of 100,000 fish have already been released as a result of the Mathoura Fishing Classic and there is over over $20,000 worth of prizes to be won!
Major Prize - All participants who catch a legal native fish will go in the draw to win a Tru Blu Off Road Camper Trailer valued at over $15,000!
